Michelle F. Yung strengthens McCarthy Tétrault's commercial real estate platform in Calgary and across Western Canada
McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to welcome Michelle F. Yung as a Partner in the Firm's Real Estate Group. Michelle joins our Calgary team and brings extensive experience advising clients across Western Canada, including in both Alberta and British Columbia.
Michelle advises clients on all aspects of commercial real estate. She has extensive experience in commercial leasing and regularly advises landlords, tenants and property managers across the shopping centre, retail, office, mixed-use and industrial sectors. She also advises on the financing, acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, as well as rezoning, subdivision, development and building permit processes.
Known for practical advice grounded in clients' business objectives, Michelle works closely with clients and external advisors to address land use planning considerations, anticipate regulatory challenges and advance transactions with clarity and confidence.
Prior to rejoining private practice, Michelle served as in-house counsel to a leading Canadian commercial real estate owner, operator and developer. In that role, she provided strategic guidance on commercial leasing, procurement and property management, giving her first-hand insight into the business realities that influence investment, development and operational decisions.
