Financial Close for Wedgeport Wind Project

On May 2, 2025, the Canada Infrastructure Bank and Elemental Energy reached financial close on a project financing loan to support the construction of the Wedgeport Wind project in the Municipal District of Argyle, Nova Scotia. Once complete, the project will feature 12 Nordex wind turbines, each with a capacity of seven megawatts, for a total of 84 megawatts of clean, renewable energy. This new capacity will connect to Nova Scotia’s power grid, supplying electricity to over 30,000 homes and businesses with affordable and reliable energy.

Wedgeport Wind is a partnership between Elemental Energy, Stevens Wind, and the Sipekne’katik First Nation.
