On December 31, 2025, Car IQ, Inc. was acquired by Element Fleet Management Corp. (“Element”) as part of Element’s advanced digital strategy.
Car IQ is headquartered in San Francisco, California, and develops technology that enables vehicles to initiate and complete payments directly with merchants.
Element is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, and provides fleet management services across North America and internationally.
McCarthy Tétrault LLP acted as Canadian counsel to Car IQ with a team led by Christine Ing, Heidi Gordon, and Victoria de Luna.
